I need to file a formal complaint.
I am a grown adult with a master's degree. I have a basement tent dedicated to Trichocereus. I have opinions about rib counts. I have argued about areole spacing on the internet with complete strangers and I was right. I am not some casual succulent guy who bought a cactus at Home Depot. I am a serious person with serious plants and I want you to understand that none of that matters when I am on your website.
None of it.
I will be in an altered state, completely at peace, not looking for anything, and then somehow I am on your site. I don't know how it happens. One minute I'm fine. The next minute I'm reading "it gets weird" about a TPM monstrose and I'm gone. That's all it takes. Three words and I am reaching for my wallet like a man possessed.
I have bought a TBM-B from you. I have bought Cahuilla seeds from you. I have justified both purchases using logic that sounded completely airtight at the time and that I cannot fully reconstruct now. Something about genetic diversity. Something about the basement having room. It made sense. You made it make sense. That is on you.
The handwritten thank you note is a war crime. You know what you're doing with that note. You are making me feel like a person who is cared about and then I am immediately back on the site buying more cactus because I want to feel that again. This is a cycle. I am in the cycle. The cycle has rib shifts and red spines and I cannot get out.
Your prices are genuinely unreasonable in the wrong direction. You are leaving money on the table and that table is covered in healthy plump cuttings that arrived better packaged than anything Amazon has ever sent me. I have received packages from you that I treated with more reverence than mail from actual humans I know.
You throw in bonus cuts. You throw in stickers. You send goodies I didn't ask for and now I have plants I cannot identify taking up space I don't have and I am more attached to them than is appropriate for a person of my education level.
