“Crosswalk” is a Trichocereus Macrogonus that grows very fat and thick with a powdery blue flesh .
I received “Crosswalk” from a cactus collector friend in Los Angeles California. He said his close friend originally acquired the clone from a stand growing at the edge of a crosswalk in Southern California. He had grown it for years and they both dubbed it “Crosswalk” to keep track of it among their collections. It instantly caught my eye when I visited his home because it stayed so thick even growing in the shade ! I purchased my cutting from him in 2023 and lovingly labeled it the same as him and his friend as “Crosswalk”.
You will receive this exact cutting ,over 3” thick . I’ve grown this in full sun in the ground and it has never been grafted . It grows bright yellow spines from large Areole that boast quite the fur . Newer growth can have light red hairs and older areole stay furry with silver hair . It normally grows a longer thicker central spine surrounded by a ring of about a dozen secondary spines . Very blue with a glaucous powdery flesh and a seagull shape notch above each areole that is very defined .
