I grew this very carefully to insure its spines remain intact and pushed it to its limits , gaining over 3” inches of spine length !!! "PALA REZ" 🌶️was named about 10 years ago, the original motherstand no longer exists. (Totally Different than "Pala")
It was named after a billboard that said "PALA REZ RADIO". When the cutting was originally acquired 10 years ago the fellow that had just received the cutting saw the billboard that said “Pala Rez Radio” he tuned in and jammed out to some classic rock and even a few chanting songs and looked back at the cutting in the back of his van and said “I’m gonna call you Pala Rez“ and so the name was born . Years later the stand was sadly removed and no longer exists but luckily the clone had been saved and Pala Rez lives on in my garden and now you can watch it grow as well !!
Trichocereus Bridgesii that shifts ribs, skips areole, goes monstrose, and terminates with weird looking tips !! I’ve had Pala Rez get completely squared tips and even completely smooth tips , very strange and fun to watch grow .
Pala Rez grows very thick for a bridgesii with very thin long spines that easily fall off leaving the cactus with a bald look. It is an extremely spicy 🌶️ clone that is very athletic. Grows fast and girthy with smooth skin and sleek ribs . The color is a light aquamarine almost celadon not dark green like a standard San Pedro cactus .
